3M™ 863X Final Polish Lapping Film provides excellent fiber height control, but polishes more slowly than 3M film 863XW. You can use it with many polishing machines and fixtures, including machines that operate at higher speeds and pressures. Final Polish Films use silicon dioxide to polish ceramic ferrules and glass fibers at a similar rate.
