The 3M™ 661X Diamond Lapping Film is an abrasive film used for polishing the end-face of fiber optic connectors. It shapes the fiber geometries, like restoring or forming the Radius of Curvature and Apex Offset of the ferrule. 3M Diamond Lapping Film lasts longer than regular films and can remove materials faster for quicker polishing.
The 4" disc is used for applications in fiber optic connector processing, flat lapping, and superfinishing.
