AngstromLap 0.3um Calcined Alumina Lapping Film, 8" Disc with PSA Backing, package of 100 sheets.
Aluminum Oxide 0.3um lapping film is typically used as a final film for MM or SM connectors. To get the best finish with 0.3um AlOx, FOC recommends using is with Ultra Polish Solution. When used with the Ultra Polish Solution it will give a near flawles finish.
The 8" is the standard size for the Ultra Tec Ultrapol 1200, some Buelher polishing machine, as well as others.
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is only recommended when it is completely necessary. Once the film is stuck to the polish surface it cannot be removed and reused. This creates a potential and likely problem of debris adhering to the film that cannot be removed. Any debris that comes in contact with the fiber may cause a scratch. PSA will increase the cost of the lapping film.
