The Covestro Desolite^® 3471-2-136 Secondary Optical Fiber Coating is a hard, fast-curing matrix coating. Desolite optical coatings ensure the best economy of high-speed production, superior fiber attenuation and microbending performance. Available in a 1 kg bottle.

Liquid Coating:

Viscosity, 25°C: 4750 mPa·s
Liquid Refractive Index, 23°C: 1.519

Cured Coating (Tested at <1% R.H.):

Glass Transition Temperature Range, Tg: 29°C (84.2°F) at E’ _{1000 MPa}
Glass Transition Temperature Range, Tg: 51°C (123.8°F) at E’ _{100 MPa}

Cured Coating (Tested at 23°C, 50% R.H.):

Secant modulus, 2.5% strain: 731 MPa
Elongation: 27%
Tensile strength: 29 MPa
