EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND, Hybrid UV & Heat Cure, High Temperature, Single Component Epoxy, Premixed and Frozen, 2.87cc in a 3cc Automatic Syringe
The EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND Epoxy is a single-component, high temperature epoxy for semiconductor, fiber optic and medical applications. This hybrid epoxy is designed to have similar cured performance to EPO-TEK 353ND, modified to allow for initial UV tacking. Available in a premixed and frozen syringe (2.87 cc fill in 3 cc automatic dispensing syringe).

Recommended Cure: Initial Tack 100mW/cm2 for 20 seconds @ 240-365 nm + 150°C/30 Minutes Thermal Cure

  • Consistency: Pourable liquid
  • Viscosity (23°C) @ 10rpm: 3,000 - 7,000 cPs
  • Glass Transition Temperature, Tg: ≥ 100°C (≥ 212°F)
  • Shore D Hardness: 78
  • Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE):
    • Below Tg: 45 x 10-6 in/in°C
    • Above Tg: 138 x 10-6 in/in°C
  • Suggested Operating Temperature: < 350 °C (Intermittent); < 662°F

Optical Properties @ 23°C:

  • Spectral Transmission:
    • ≥ 50% @ 550nm
    • ≥ 95% @ 1,100-1,600nm
    • ≥ 98% @ 800-1,000nm
  • Index of Refraction: 1.5259 @ 589nm (uncured)
