EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-LV Low Viscosity Epoxy, Hybrid Heat & UV Cure - Pre-Mixed and Frozen (3cc Syringe)

ETHYB-353ND-LV-3CC

EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-LV Low Viscosity, High Temperature, Hybrid UV & Heat Cure, Single Component, Premixed and Frozen in a 3cc syringe
The EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-LV Low Viscosity UV Hybrid Epoxy is a single-component, high-temperature epoxy for semiconductor and fiber optic applications. It offers cured performance similar to EPO-TEK 353ND, modified to allow for initial UV (ultraviolet) tacking, and features a lower viscosity than HYB-353ND. Available in a 3 cc automatic syringe.

Recommended Cure: UV tack at 100 mW/cm² for 10 seconds @ 240–365 nm, followed by a 150°C (302°F), 30-minute thermal cure.

Features of HYB-353ND-LV:

  • Supports active alignment of lenses, diodes, and optical components
  • UV tacking for precise positioning
  • Very low viscosity
  • Pot life: < 20 Hours

Applications:

  • Fiber Optics: Fiber bonding and component alignment
  • Optoelectronics: Optical components sub-assemblies; lens, diode, and component bonding
  • Piezoelectric bonding
  • LiDAR and IR Sensors

Physical Properties:

  • Consistency: Pourable liquid
  • Viscosity (23°C) @ 100 rpm: 800-2,000 cPs
  • Glass Transition Temperature, Tg: ≥ 80°C (≥ 176°F)
  • Shore D Hardness: 83
  • Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE):
    • Below Tg: 46 x 10-6 in/in°C
    • Above Tg: 137 x 10-6 in/in°C
  • Suggested Operating Temperature: < 350°C (Intermittent); < 662°F

Optical Properties @ 23°C:

  • Spectral Transmission:
    • ≥ 50% @ 550 nm
    • ≥ 95% @ 1,100-1,600 nm
    • ≥ 98% @ 800-1,000 nm
  • Refractive Index: 1.5215 @ 589 nm (uncured)
