EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-TX2 High Temperature Epoxy, Hybrid Heat & UV Cure - Pre-Mixed and Frozen (3cc Syringe)

ETHYB-353ND-TX2

EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-TX2, Hybrid UV & Heat Cure, High Temperature, Single Component, Fiber Optic Epoxy, Premixed and Frozen, 3cc Automatic Syringe
The EPO-TEK® HYB-353ND-TX2 UV Hybrid Epoxy is a single-component, high-temperature hybrid epoxy designed for semiconductor, fiber optic, and medical applications. It offers cured performance similar to EPO-TEK 353ND, but is modified for initial UV (ultraviolet)  tacking and features higher thixotropy than HYB-353ND. Available in a 3 cc automatic syringe.

Recommended Cure: UV tack at 100 mW/cm² for 10 seconds @ 240–365 nm, followed by a 150°C (302°F), 30-minute thermal cure.

Features of HYB-353ND-TX2:

  • Supports active alignment of lenses, diodes, and optical components
  • UV (ultraviolet) tacking for precise positioning
  • Paste-like viscosity
  • Pot life: < 2 Days

Applications:

  • Fiber Optics: Fiber bonding and component alignment
  • Optoelectronics: Optical sub-assemblies; lens, diode, and component bonding
  • Piezoelectric bonding
  • LiDAR and IR Sensors

Physical Properties:

  • Color (before cure): Cloudy/Light yellow
  • Consistency: Pourable paste
  • Viscosity (23°C) @ 10 rpm: 17,000-35,000 cPs
  • Thixotropic Index: 1.7
  • Glass Transition Temperature, Tg: ≥ 90°C (≥ 194°F)
  • Shore D Hardness: 80
  • Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE):
    • Below Tg: 63 x 10-6 in/in°C
    • Above Tg: 179 x 10-6 in/in°C
  • Suggested Operating Temperature: < 350 °C (Intermittent); < 662°F
  • Particle Size: ≤ 20 microns

Optical Properties @ 23°C:

  • Spectral Transmission:
    • ≥ 50% @ 550 nm
    • ≥ 95% @ 1,100-1,600 nm
    • ≥ 98% @ 800-1,000 nm
  • Refractive Index: 1.5457 @ 589 nm
