The MicroCare Sticklers™ EB Cleaning Swabs are specifically engineered to clean expanded beam (EB) connectors—ensuring fast, reliable, and consistent data performance in demanding environments. Unlike traditional butt-contact fiber connectors, EB connectors seal the fiber behind a lens, reducing back reflection and insertion loss. But even with their high tolerance for dirt, EB connectors—such as those in the OPTOKON system, still require regular cleaning, especially in harsh or military conditions.

Standard fiber cleaning tools won’t work due to the unique geometry of EB lenses. Sticklers™ EB Cleaning Swabs solve this challenge with a saddle-shaped tip that conforms to the entire lens and ferrule surface for full-contact cleaning.
