Miller Buffer Coating Strip Tool (162um)

FO103S-162

Miller Buffer Coating Strip Tool with a 162um strip diameter. [HUBBLE P/N R80355-3]
The Ripley® Miller FO 103-S-162 single-hole fiber optic stripper is a custom-designed tool for accurately stripping coated fiber intended for a 162 µm (0.0066″) fiber outer diameter. It gives technicians a reliable way to work with non-standard fiber diameters without damaging the fiber. The stripping hole and V-opening are manufactured using a wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) process, producing an exact and repeatable blade geometry that closely follows the fiber profile. This precision helps properly prepare the fiber for additional fiber preparation steps.

The tool is factory-set and requires no adjustment. To operate, insert the buffer-coated fiber into the stripping hole, close the tool evenly, and pull along the fiber using light, steady pressure. Its compact design and calibrated hole support consistent, clean fiber stripping in lab, production, or field environments.

Features for Fiber Optic Stripper:

  • Custom FO 103-S tool designed for 162 µm fiber OD
  • Single-hole design for controlled, accurate coating removal
  • Wire EDM–machined stripping hole and V-opening for superior consistency
  • Factory-set tool requires no adjustment
  • Prevents scratching or nicking of the bare optical fiber
  • REACH, Prop 65, and RoHS compliant
