The Micro Electronics MS-4T-05S-10 Soft-Strip^® Thermal Fiber Optic Stripper removes fiber coatings in the 180-250 µm range to expose 85-120 µm cladding. Equipped with a heater oven, its integral heating elements soften coatings and insulations such as Mylar, Kapton, Teflon, PVC, and Hytrel, allowing single-fiber stripping with less than 1 lb of pulling force. This helps prevent fiber damage and supports more consistent splices and connections.

The included fiber guide centers and supports the fiber during stripping, ensuring consistent blade engagement and reducing the risk of nicking the glass. Both the heater oven and blades are replaceable, making the system versatile and cost-effective.
