The Micro Electronics MS-4T-05S-18 Soft-Strip^® Thermal Fiber Optic Stripper remove fiber coatings and buffers in the 407-457 µm range, exposing 85-120 µm cladding. Equipped with a heater oven, its integral heating elements soften coatings and insulations such as Mylar, Kapton, Teflon, PVC, and Hytrel, allowing single-fiber stripping with less than 1 lb of pulling force.t more consistent splices and connections. The included fiber guide centers and supports the fiber during stripping, while the fiber guide lock holds the fiber securely in position, ensuring consistent blade engagement and reducing the risk of nicking the glass. Each tool uses the same interchangeable blade design as Micro Electronics’ non-thermal models. Both the guide and blades are replaceable, making the system versatile and cost-effective.
