Soft-Strip Stripper, .0160 (406um) Blade, .0310 (787um) Guide

The Micro Electronics MS-4T-16S-31 Soft-Strip^® Thermal Fiber Optic Stripper removes fiber coating and buffer in a range of 635-787 µm to expose 335-380 µm cladding. Equipped with a heater oven, its integral heating elements soften coatings and insulations such as Mylar, Kapton, Teflon, PVC, and Hytrel, allowing single-fiber stripping with less than 1 lb of pulling force. This precision helps properly prepare the fiber for additional fiber preparation steps.

The included fiber guide centers and supports the fiber during stripping, while the fiber guide lock holds the fiber securely in position, ensuring consistent blade engagement and reducing the risk of nicking the glass. Each tool uses the same interchangeable blade design as Micro Electronics’ non-thermal models. Both the guide and blades are replaceable, making the system versatile and cost-effective.
