The 50th Anniversary Gala for Immigrants' Assistance Center, to be held on May 13, 2022 at the historic Kilburn Mills in New Bedford, MA will both celebrate the outstanding service IAC provides to the immigrant community and will offer options for continuing monetary support through event sponsorships, from community member to corporate levels, and tickets for the event. Individual donations are always an option for the local community and beyond.
The IAC’s accreditation by the Board of Immigration Appeals, the country’s highest administrative body for interpreting and applying immigration laws, means that they are designated by the U. S. Department of Justice as an authorized immigration representative under Federal regulations at 8 C.F.R. § 1292.1(a)(4). The IAC is the resource for individuals for overcoming language, economic and cultural barriers and assistance with integration into American society. Immigrants’ Assistance Center (IAC), was established in 1971 in New Bedford, MA by members of the local Portuguese community aiming to help immigrants on the path to gain citizenship. IAC, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, serves upwards of 12,000 clients annually with a staff of 10 professionals and many volunteers.
