Kevin Will Enhance Technical Team Customer Production Facility Support
New Bedford, MA, USA, May 2023 – Fiber Optic Center, Inc., (FOC), an international leading distributor specializing in helping their customers make the best cable assemblies in the world, announces the addition of Kevin Mooney to its technical team. Mr. Mooney joins the FOC technical team with his extensive knowledge of the cable assembly warehouse and production facility.
Kevin graduated from Edinboro University with a Masters in Psychology, preparing him for a career working start to finish with each step and level of the cable assembly business.
Kevin’s career in fiber optics began in 1998, spending over 24 years with a Corning Gold cable assembly house, His roles have spanned from sales through distribution channels for 10+ years to management of procurement and materials purchasing. The past decade has been a combination of general and operations management and business development.
During his time in management roles, Kevin has been active with product line improvements and qualifications from the design and production steps. At FOC, he will offer his practical experience, troubleshooting tools, equipment and software on the production floor to offer customer support and process improvements.

Kevin resides just north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife and four children. A musician of over 30 years, he still finds time to play music, which is a helpful addition to Fiber Optic Center’s robust staff of musicians. Kevin begins his FOC Technical Support and Consulting with our training at the west coast lab, in preparation for the active role FOC takes in supporting customers with both onsite and phone support. The technical staff works closely with managers of high-volume, high quality cable assembly houses, particularly those with technically demanding customers and worldwide operations.
