Now, we take a lot of pride in offering a professional electrician a tool that works consistently well and provides a long work life as well. Now, Ideal created the T-stripper line of wire strippers when thermoplastic insulation was first used on the conductors in branch wiring many years ago. And so, hence the name T-stripper, and today they are the industry standard that competitive wire strippers are really kind of compared to. And you know, electricians use a wire stripper every day and they need them to stand up to the heavy use and abuse they're going to put them through and provide a long-lasting cutting blade. Now, they are the tool they're going to reach for probably most often when they're out there actually making up electrical connections.
And so, from the form-ground knife-type cutting blades that offer accurate and easy stripping without nicking the conductors—which is kind of important—another key feature to all wire strippers from Ideal Industries is the heat treatment and the hardening processes that the blades have gone through. You know what? They provide the longest-lasting cutting blades in the industry. And you know what? It's simple. They simply stay sharper longer and they provide, again, a longer-lasting tool.
Now, other features of Ideal's wire strippers include the fact that they have vivid laser markings on them that won't rub off or fill full of dirt so you can actually read them. They also have a secure spring in them so that it doesn't come loose or fall out of the wire stripper while you're trying to use it. There's looping holes on the sides here for bending the conductors in that right shape for that screw on that wiring device. There's even a convenient plier-tip nose here so that you can grab a conductor firmly if you have to. And there's even a US and metric strip-length guide here for your conductors, and that's for those guys that can't remember what 3/4 of an inch looks like.
Now, they're also constructed of a thick carbon steel making them again more durable and again longer lasting. And they're available in solid or stranded wire ranges from six up to 32 or down to 32 gauge conductors. And styles like this basic T5 unit here are catalog number 45-120, which has kind of become the industry standard when it comes to wire strippers, and it offers all that anybody really needs in a wire stripper at one great price.
