Experience working in fiberoptic cable assembly production line management is NOT a requirement for the apprentice position. Our team has been assembled with the top experts and consists of decades of stellar experience and this apprentice position is a unique opportunity to learn hard skills and knowledge from this industry’s top production line experts.

We target outgoing, polite, well-spoken individuals who do not mind getting their hands dirty, fixing problems and traveling the globe. Our technical team members are problems solvers first and business development next.

Our “ideal” hire:

  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Willingness to travel on short notice
  • Travel to customers for on-site equipment maintenance, problem-solving or non-urgent customer service calls (some international)
  • Travel to trade shows to demonstrate equipment
  • Fluency in English is required (EFL).
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus, not required
  • US citizen with a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to work unsupervised

While we are willing to hire a true apprentice with little to no fiberoptic cable assembly production line management experience, do not be afraid to apply if you are a little more “seasoned”! We do not hire thinking short-term positions – we are a long-term team.

The apprentice program will include training on:

  • Cable Assembly Line Production Equipment Process
  • Fiberoptic sectors (Telecom, Datacom, Medical, Sensors, Military application, etc.).
  • Interferometry inspection, Visual inspection, and IL/RL measurement for fiberoptic cable assemblies
  • Medical / “Fat Fiber” cable assembly application
  • Interpretation and analyst of inspection data to improve production line performance
  • Data Management to improve process efficiency
  • Proficiency in technical drawings/documents
  • Formal Quality Management Systems, Corrective Action resolution, Root Cause analysis

Technical Business Development Apprentice Job Description

We are looking for an individual with interest to participate in hands-on learning of cable assembly floor operations and equipment, learning of process, work closely with our sales team to set appointments with our customers with the goal of being able to provide technical support over the phone, virtually, and face-to-face within six to twelve months.

This position is additionally responsible for vetting and developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. To be successful, our hire must be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Solving Customer’s Equipment, Process and Operations Needs
  • Partnering with our Customers and learning their operations needs
  • Investigating and Identifying Customer Needs
  • Prospecting and vetting industry leads
  • Communicating with customers
  • Identifying sales opportunities.
  • Maintaining a database of service calls for current and potential customers.
  • Staying informed about industry and products.
  • Strategizing with team members to innovate and improve the overall inside sales process.
  • Constant Pursuit of Improved Listening Skills and Effective Communication Techniques
