The Miller MB04 Flat Drop Cable Slitter brings a new twist to slitting both sides of flat drop cable jackets in one easy step. The patent pending articulating hinge accepts cable for end and mid-span applications without disassembling the tool. The tool easily closes and tightly clamps around the cable without the need for a latch. Shielded blades promote safe operations and prevent injury. Compact, lightweight and durable construction fits comfortably in hand. Two reversible spare blades and an installation to are conveniently stored inside for easy access. Reversible precision blades easily cut through the jacket without damaging the fiber. The MB04 is compatible with a wide range of flat drop cables, including CommScope, Corning, Draka/Comteq, OFS, Prysmian, Superior Essex and more.

The tool is also designed to accept various cables widths and jacket thicknesses. If the SST cable has a toning wire, use the MB03-7020. To remove toning wire first, seek the cable flat into the tool body with a toner wire against the blade. Close the handle completely around the wire and slide the MB03-7020 in either direction to separate the toner wire.
