The round cable strippers or RCS tools are designed to remove polyethylene, PVC and rubber jackets safely and easily. They are the ideal tools for fiber optic cable jacket removal with adjustable blade depth and the ability to straight cut or spiral cut the jacket. To operate the tool, Place the spring-loaded handle on the end of the cable and adjust the blade depth to the desired depth of cut by rotating the neural head. Simply place the RCS onto the cable at the desired strip length and perform a radial cut around the cable. Then pull up on the collar of the tool to set the blade at an angle. Then slowly rotate the tool in a spiral cut off the end of the cable. Remove the jacket with fingers or a pair of needlenose pliers. Jacket material is removed cleanly and easily. This spiral-cutting action is also ideal for midspan jacket removal.
