New Bedford, MA, USA, April 15, 2019 – Fiber Optic Center, Inc., (FOC), an international leading distributor specializing in helping their customers make the best cable assemblies in the world has announced the 20–5-1 campaign to support Children’s Cancer Research #20mtns5states1mission under the FOC internal Corporate Citizen.
The 20-5-1 campaign is the ambitious fundraiser for one young man, FOC’s own Systems Architect, Kelly Michael Skelton, to climb 20 mountains over 5 states for 1 mission: a Cure for Childhood Cancer over the summer of 2019.
“This journey will be an enormous challenge, but nothing compared to what these hundreds of thousands of children and families experience each year. I will walk, run and climb with their needs as my motivation,” said Kelly Skelton. “I have not climbed 20 mountains in my entire lifetime, so this year’s goal is no easy feat. I hope other corporations will join me in this effort to stop childhood cancer. I am beginning the fundraising with a personal donation of $1,000.00. I intend to proudly summit twenty 4,000+ foot mountains this summer with the support given by the community. I hope we make a difference in this world together.”
FOC was founded in New Bedford, MA, USA, in “the city that lit the world” and continues the new traditions of lighting the world, through both its global business footprint and community involvement and support. Additional resources include:
