Manufacturers using light curing equipment understand that inconsistent curing may negatively affect their entire assembly process, and even the company's bottom line. The degradation of curing bulbs, light guides and reflectors used with light curing systems can decrease overall light intensity, resulting in incomplete cures. Lost production time or decreased yield. In addition to reduced productivity and increased costs. And improperly calibrated radiometer can cause a user to believe that the correct energy dose is applied in an application. A cure may pass a visual inspection without being complete and fail later in a quality check or on a component delivered to the field. For these reasons, it is very important to ensure consistent light carrying. By periodically monitoring UV intensity or dose with a radiometer.
