The Covestro Bufferlite™ DU-2008 Tight Buffer Optical Fiber Coating is an optically clear, fast cure, medium modulus, matrix coating material used for tight buffering fiber up to 400-900µm (microns). DU-2008 was formulated for excellent strip and stability. Available in a 10 kg bottle.
Liquid Coating:
- Viscosity, 25°C: 1,200 MPa·s
Cured Coating (Tested at 23°C, 50% R.H.)
- Secant modulus, 2.5% strain: 320 MPa
- Elongation: 14%
- Tensile strength: 12 MPa
