Domaille Engineering PC-Based Programmable Polishing Machine w/Automated Process Control and Standard Accessories Including Drip Tray (PM12065F), Drip Tray Bracket (PM21025), Locking Collar (PM22097), Splash Guard (PM12066F) and a set of 70, 80 and 90 durometer locking rubber pads.
The Domaille APM-HDC-5400 is a high-precision, advanced fiber optic polishing machine designed to deliver reliable, automated polishing for fiber optic connectors. It incorporates numerous advancements, including PC-based controls with a 10” touchscreen, programmable fiber polishing force up to 24 lbs, AbraSave+ technology, integrated Micro-G® controls, and bi-directional platen rotation.
Additional enhancements include an improved overarm handle and locking mechanism, an illuminated arm push button with machine status indication, and a built-in alert horn.
Together, these features provide precise control over polishing speed, pressure, soft start, and auto-calibration, while incorporating customer-driven improvements that enhance performance, consistency, and ease of operation.

- Programmable soft start and ramp-down for pressure and speed, with auto-start into next step
- Calibrated pneumatic force control with load cell feedback loop
- Auto calibration when using EZ CAL USB load cell
- Automated force compensation for partially populated fixtures
- Programmable speed control from 0–200 rpm
- Bi-directional platen rotation with platen indexing to locate at the programmed position
- AbraSave+ software to maximize lapping film life
- Improved overarm design for enhanced ergonomics, accuracy, and cable clearance
- Redesigned overarm latch mechanism for reduced friction and improved reliability

Effective May 2025, the Domaille APM-HDC-5400 Programmable Fiber Optic Polishing Machine will include the following improvements:
- Increased screen size to 10.1”.
- 6x more powerful system (CPU).
- No loading/waiting screens.
- Addition of swiping.
- Removed need for a Power On button; disabling the EPO achieves the same effect.
- Audio now delivered through HMI speaker.
- Play/Pause button to both play and pause a step.
- Reset button now in software.
- Platen indexing manually executed according to recipe parameters, if enabled, in production and process configuration.
- Ability to copy and paste steps between recipes in process config.
- Addition of screen in system config to configure and experiment with platen indexing.
- Removal of Max Quantity setting and addition of quantity edited via textbox and automatically enforced limits.
- Removal of dedicated screen for entering text and addition of keyboard with an X for cancel and a checkmark for confirmation.
- Process config tab D, tolerance tab, now always shown (was previously hidden).
- Automatic Load Cell calibration consistently takes under 30 seconds.
