Miller Fiberoptic Safety Kit Includes a Polishing/Work Mat, Fiber Scraps Trash Can, Splinter Removal Tweezer and Safety Glasses [46171]
The kit includes:
A Fiber-Safe™ 14" x 22" black vinyl polishing work mat for easy visibility of fiber scraps. The mat can also serve as a sub-surface for fiber polishing cloths. The resilient surface depresses easily for quick pick up of fibers.
A disposable fiber scraps trash can, the safest means of disposing of glass fiber scraps because it can be incinerated when full.
A splinter removal tweezer with a Teflon coating to provide the cushioning needed to remove glass fiber splinters without shattering or breaking the glass.
Bifurcated (two pronged) swipes to eliminate the need for alcohol and hand wipes to clean fiber ends before splicing, cleaving or terminating fiber. The tube contains 99% isopropyl alcohol. Hand pressure breaks the seal, and the alcohol is dispensed by squeezing the tube, reducing evaporation and alcohol waste.
