Cleaning Wipes Matrix for Production Environments

Contamination from dust, oils, and residues can impact performance and cleanliness across fiber optic networks, electronics, precision optics, and other sensitive surfaces. Fiber Optic Center offers a range of cleaning wipe solutions for fast, reliable cleaning of connectors, equipment, delicate optical components, and work areas in production environments, including labs, cleanrooms, and fiber optic manufacturing.

These solutions include non-abrasive, durable, and lint-free wipes, with many options compatible with IPA and other solvents for consistent, residue-free cleaning. Common uses include ferrule and fiber optic connector cleaning, bare fiber preparation for splicing, and maintaining optical components, electronics, and work surfaces.

Use the matrix below to compare general purpose and fiber optic cleaning wipes to identify the right wipe for your application. If you have any questions, please contact our technical team.

Silicon Carbide Lapping Film Product Matrix

As a more aggressive material effective for rough grinding, Silicon Carbide Lapping Film is often recommended over aluminum oxide for the first step of the fiber optic polishing process, which involves epoxy and glass fiber removal. It is effective on both single-fiber ceramic ferrules and MT ferrules but is not commonly used for final polishing steps.

Fiber Optic Center offers both ÅngströmLap® and 3M™ silicon carbide films, listed below for easy comparison based on technical specifications to help you choose the right film for your polishing equipment and application.

All Furcation Tubing:

Fiber optic furcation tubing comes in various styles to suit specific optical fibers, connections, splicing, and termination configurations. Use our product matrices to quickly identify and compare the right furcation tubing for your project.
